Client has bought domain at 123-reg and hosting at 1and1 how do i change the domain to 1and1 (DNS settings)?

You will need to access the domain name settings via 123-reg and change the nameservers to those provided by 1and1. If you do not know them, email the 1and1 support and they should be happy to provide you with them.
